This. Is. Awesome. (For dorks like me.)

If this awesomeness means nothing to you, we're through.

Not really. It just means you're not quite as dorky as I am with regard to the tremendousnous known as American Psycho. You know, the crazy-ass movie with Christian-what-don't-you-f*cking-understand-Bale as Patrick Bateman?? Check out this billboard in New Zealand.

I cannot look at anyone's business card without secretly laughing in my head because of this scene.

Amy Winehouse needs to be worried about her competition: Her Own Goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield

What a DOLL Dionne Bromfield is...and she's Amy Winehouse's goddaughter. Dionne performed Mama Said on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing with Amy and her back-up singers.

Did I mention that Dionne is 13-years old? This sweet little girl has a VOICE...and doesn't have to use anyone's idea of (inappropriate) sex-appeal to sell her talent. Dionne looks so cute.

Seriously. Amy needs to make sure her game gets back on track...and I don't mean with the new boobies she just purchased. She went from a 32B to a 32D very recently. I think she should've rehearsed a bit more--her timing is off here, but really,  it's ALL about Dionne.

Ellen DeGeneres? The new, PERMANENT 4th judge on "American Idol"? Whaaaa?

Holy crap. This came out of left field, didn't it? I think it's pretty cool, though. Who doesn't love Ellen anyway?

via MSN:

"In a statement released by the show just a few minutes ago, DeGeneres said, “I’m thrilled to be the new judge on ‘American Idol.’ I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.”

Ellen didn't participate (and isn't participating) in the audition process that is ongoing. She'll start when the new season of American Idol premieres in January 2010.

I was not a huge Paula fan. There. I said it. I am just relieved I won't be screaming at the TV anymore when some drunk chick is slurring unintelligibly and dancing like a groupie when she ought to be showing some decorum.

I'm waiting for the hate mail from mah gurls. You know who you are: Patrick, et al.

Oh, and maybe Ellen's wife Portia will show up from time to time? Mmmmmm. Portiaaaaa. (In Homer Simpson's voice...)

Recommended Movie of the Weekend!

Oh man. This fantastic film was on Showtime (or was it HBO?) just the other night. Let me tell you something. The first time I saw it, back in 1994 (when it came out on video), I watched the part with Patricia Arquette and James Gandolfini--then had to rewind it to watch it AGAIN. One of the best scenes in cinema. (Maybe I have some "issues" that make me love it more than the average chick, but whatever. It's effing AWESOME.)

I want REVIEWS, people. I know a lot of people have seen this movie--but I still want your reviews. What's not to love? Tarantino's script, Brad Pitt's stoner with a honeybear bong and as I mentioned last week, Patricia Arquette's character, Alabama.

One of my Top Five films ever.

Now you have your assignment.

Spotted: Christmas Garden Gnome-ALIVE!

Behold. The elusive Garden Gnome.
Ssshhh! you'll frighten him!
He's wearing SHORTS!
Better than a "Bigfoot" sighting!
Back to his natural state.

I couldn't have made this up if I TRIED. I was out doing errands, dog walking..stuff like that, when I spotted a Chistmas Garden Gnome--ALIVE and decorating his front yard! I had James, my boxer pup with me, and I actually started talking to him (more than usual). "James! Did you SEE that?? Hurry up and go potty--mom has to go back and get her camera! Come ON!! GO already!" We hurried back home, I grabbed my BIG, professional camera (not the the little Canon PowerShot) and tore back over to the Gnome's house. I spotted a van I could hide behind. Sweet! As I ran across the street to hide, I slipped in dog poo, almost breaking my camera. Poo all over the black Uggs. Bleh!! Oh, but that way if anyone (like the gnome asked me what I was doing, I could just say, "scraping off dog poo from my BOOT! What are YOU doing??" Total paparazzi moment. Ducking behind the van, I caught these photos. I need to call the Weekly World News. (That trashy mag that insists aliens are here on Earth.) They may be on to something. Proof: Tom Cruise and now the Gnome.
