This Tiger Woods story gets uglier with every passing hour. TMZ.com is reporting that Tiger was admitted to the hospital as an "OD" after the crashing of his Escalade late Thanksgiving night.

Sources connected with the hospital tell TMZ the admissions chart lists "OD" and that he was having trouble breathing.
We're told the fifth floor of the hospital was put on lockdown when Tiger arrived. Tiger was admitted under an alias -- William Smith. His wife, Elin Nordegren was by his side.
As we first reported, Elin gave paramedics two pill bottles at the accident scene -- we now know the prescriptions were for Ambien and Vicodin. Tiger was in and out of consciousness, snoring at the scene, and our sources say he clearly appeared to be under the influence of something -- not alcohol.
We're also told doctors used a breathing tube to assist his respiration."
Ick. Tiger Woods is no longer the King of Perfection, is he?

Awww - i think maybe he's a bit messed up but people are giving him such a hard time. He didn't ask to be a moral example to people. I just don't expect people to behave in a perfect way all the time so it neither shocks nor bothers me really- whether they be famous or not. How long before we can start blaming the doctors for prescribing drugs willy nilly again? They DO have a moral obligation to the public unlike a slightly screwed up golfer.
If they had to use a breathing tube, why was he released so quickly. I have a hard time believing this story or any story anymore when it involves Tiger. I have moved on.
Annette: We prudish Americans fell in line to worship Tiger as The Perfect Athlete a long time ago. He gave us the pristine image to swallow and indeed we all did--children included.
I agree--NO ONE is perfect. EVERYONE is flawed. But this (even with my dominate European attitude) is a bit much. Going to breakfast with your wife and kids, then having sex in the CAR with your pancake waitress? Really, Tiger?? Wow.
We Americans always want a "reason" for bad behavior. We'll see painkiller addiction along with a sex addiction with Tiger. How 'bout the fact that MAYBE he never should've married Elin if he wasn't done catting around? It reeks of building The Perfect Image. It's all a facade, and THAT is what troubles me as well.
