Our Littlest Muscle Man...

How ridiculously cute is
16 month old Felix?

 That profile looks mighty familiar...

My favorite snack.

Felix is the perfect
combination of Dayna and Alex...

but I'm totally biased.

Thanks for putting up with my nepotism on Dipped in Cream. It's been awhile, and I thought it was time.

"It was 20 years ago today..." - Happy Birthday Hunter!

Hunter Stroud

Hey, do you guys remember that baby I had just the other day? Yeah? Seems he's 20 years old today. WHAT the hell?

I don't know how that happened. I swear it was just yesterday I was on a field trip with Hunter's pre-school class, wherein he was rolling his eyes at the kids who couldn't pronounce their teacher, Mrs. Weaver's name properly.  "Ugh. Mrs. Weeeevole. What is wrong with those kids?" Oh, Hunter. He still has no tolerance for mispronunciation.

Stephen has his chef's hat on today BIG time for Hunter's dinner:

Southern Fried Chicken
Cajun Mac & Cheese (w/spicy sausage!)
Collard Greens (hell yeah)
Biscuits w/cream gravy

Arnold Palmers to drink (1/2 each of lemonade & iced tea)

Three-layer Carrot Cake w/cream cheese icing

I love looking at that menu, especially since Stephen and I are back to eating meat. Mmmmmmmsausage (Homer's voice, naturally).

So yeah. My newborn baby is 20 flippin' years old. Happy Birthday, Handsome. Mum loves you!

Happy Birthday, Prince Felix Alexander!

Life is pretty sweet.
...even upside down.
I think Felix is laughing AT Stephen (Pip)
and not with him. That's his way.

One of the best times is rocking
this sweet baby to sleep.

Is that Timberlake?
No, it's Alex and his boy.

Uncle Hunter and his favorite
person in the world.
Felix and "Auntie" Patrick
Look at those meaty legs and feet!
The sad little Christmas Elf
The "chub" has begun...
"Mim forced me to wear this get-up
from Florence, Italy. Yeeeeesh."
"Those fries look GOOD"...Chris Farley
Mom and Baby
Nose to nose with Dad.
I believe they also received
$14 million from People Magazine
for their baby pictures...heh.
Sleepin' time with Mom
One WEEK before Felix arrived!
Ugh. Alex and Felix's "Michael and Blanket"
impersonation. It was 3 FEET off the ground,
not several stories.
ET?
I can't repeat the words he was
saying here...
You've GOT to be kidding me.

Today is our darling Felix's 1st birthday. He's perfection. He's silly and funny and we just adore this little bundle.

Alex and Dayna are great parents. They aren't terribly "goody-goody", which I think is great--and by that I mean they make fun of Felix when he's being silly or if he's crying just to cry. For instance, I called Alex one day and heard that precious angel screaming in the background. I asked Alex what is WRONG? Alex replied, "Aww. He can't take a joke." I was bent in half from laughter. Oh, they dote on him, don't get me wrong; they just know how to laugh at things instead of stress out.

If anyone is overly-protective about Felix, it's Hunter. He loves that baby more than anything. I just love seeing him with his baby nephew. He is so tender and sweet with Felix. Dirty diapers? No problem. Hunter can soothe that baby sometimes when no one else can.

Stephen and I took Felix out to dinner a few night ago to our favorite sushi place. Felix had smashed sweet potatoes, yams and edamame and his favorite, miso soup. He loved his little meal, but was far more interested in the cute, chatty high school girls behind us and kept leaning over backwards in his high chair and pointing at them and smiling. Alex and Dayna will have their hands full in about 15 years and I LOVE it.

The torch has been passed.

Joe Jackson: Monster, Money Grubber, Satan!

Mr. Inappropriate.
Hey. So THAT'S where my eyebrow
pencil ran off to--nice mustache.

BOOM. Twice in one day I am able to use the term "money grubber"!

I tell ya what, Joe Jackson is a piece of work. He's already rubbing his dirty hands together by eyeballing Michael's kids as his next paycheck. He was on "Good Morning America" this morning, seemingly preparing the world for his next big thing.

"Today in a Good Morning America interview with 79-year-old family patriarch Joe Jackson, interviewer Chris Connelly asks whether he sees any performer potential in Michael's three children. Joe's response? "I keep watching Paris, she maybe wants to do something, you know. And Blanket, he can really dance, that's what they're saying. He can really dance."

First of all, you dumbshit, YOU were left out of Michael's Will for a reason, and your wife, KATHERINE was named Guardian of those poor kids--not YOUR dumb ass.

Why isn't anyone in that family speaking up about how incredibly inappropriate Joe is behaving? Are they all still so terrified of that old man that they won't stand up to him?

Someone needs to get a restraining order again Grandpa Grubbymits and FAST. The last thing those little kids need is to be locked in the basement for 10 hours a day, while that asshole watches them rehearse--with a belt in his hand.

I'm so sorry for the lack of blogs today!!

James Beckham NOW, at 1 year old.
James, at 12 weeks, the day
after he came home to us.

Felix, at 11 months!

Felix's first fortune cookie fortune!

The cutest toes in the world.
Here's my deal today. I had a rough night last night--stressiness with two men who are very dear to me (that's all I'm gonna say about that issue) caused me to get a case of sciatica today. It happens every time I get upset, so it wasn't a huge surprise, but since I am a bit more healthy and do yoga, I thought it wouldn't happen again--WRONG.

AnyNUTTY, I helped Dayna get a mental blueprint of how to decorate the house she and Alex are moving into. It's a town over from ours (where they were living), but in all honesty, she doesn't need her mother-in-law all up in her grill--and that would be ME. I think they will have a much more successful family life in this darling house they are in now, in a super-cute neighborhood. You can Google it, if you want: Manette, Washington. They have a waterfront view and it's just perfect. I don't know if lifting a huge TV onto the entertainment center helped the pinched sciatic nerve situation much, though. We did plenty of moving and arranging , but most importantly bonding again. I'm happy about it, and I think Dayna is, too.

I put a call into my yoga instructor to see if I should go to class tonight or not. I know I need to ice the area, but moving around is a good thing, too. If any of you have suggestions, please offer them to me!

So, it's our precious boxer, James's 1st birthday today. And I had some cute pictures I just took of Meatpie, Felix to share--so here ya go.

Please forgive me about the lack of blogs--I have some good ones in the works, I promise!!
xoxo ~j

Lindsay is Chanelling Marilyn Monroe Again? Really? I Beg to Differ.

"YAY! I look just like Mommy--I mean, Marilyn!I!"
As always, Mother of the Year - Dina Lohan

Seems Lindsay is trying to be Marilyn again...but she only ends up looking exactly like her mother, Dina. Happy Mother's Day! (Shudder...)

Happy Birthday, Alex!!!

Alex, admiring his "handywork"?
Dayna ready to pop with Felix, last July.
Model boy
Seafoam green eyes.

Alex is 25 years old today! Whaaaa??? It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital, looking down at this baby ("look at the baby on that nose!") trying to come to terms with the fact that I had a BOY, and not a GIRL, like my doctor told me. I fell in love HARD with this tiny man.

Alex has become a man I truly admire. He adores his wife and is an amazing dad. He puts his family first...as it should be, I know, but it doesn't always work that way these days. I love his sense of humor--Felix is well on his way, too. In our family, it's all about The Funny. Dayna is hilarious and the two of them are just fantastic parents.

Enough with the Gushfest. Happy Birthday, Boy! Mama loves you!

George Harrison Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

George's friends and family:
Eric Idle, Paul, Olivia, Tom and Dhani

Oh, George. My first crush. I was four years old when I fell in love with George Harrison, and he's the one true celebrity crush that endured all these many years. I still can't talk about his death of lung cancer at age 58. Too tragic and too early. He was just so beautiful and his songs with the Beatles were always my favorites. (And I have a son, Hunter, who bears a striking resemblance to my beloved George...)

George received his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star earlier this week. Paul McCartney (The Cute One, umm, not to me) showed up with Tom Petty, Tom and Rita Hanks and Eric Idle, as well as George's widow Olivia and gorgeous son, Dhani. I can't even believe how much Dhani looks and sounds like George.

Take a few minutes to enjoy this tribute to George's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by Dhani, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Prince, who performs a freakishly gorgeous guitar solo. Amazing.

Hunter, a bit of a Harrison resemblance?

"If U Only Knew"...Amazing Hunter Update

Oh. My. God. That's all I can say. Hunter has a new single called, "If U Only Knew". It's a collaberation with an amazing musician from the D.C. area named Man-E. Hunter was given the beats, then composed the melody and performed the vocals--all in two days. The song is completely different than any of his other work, and I LOVE it! Who knew he could do electronica/R&B and hiphop??

Please give a listen. This is some serious shit.

David Cook is an Idiot AND a Douche

"I hate my fans!!"
Douchey Mc Idoldork has taken to his MySpace page to let all his 95-year old fans that he doesn't want them to do anything except pay for their goddamned tickets, t-shirts and cd's and then eff OFF. The End.

Mc Idoldork needs to spend a week with my budding rockstar son, Hunter. (www.myspace.com/huntersstroud ) He'll show him how to treat a girl. He just recorded a cover of Pat Benatar's "Heartbreaker". Sigh.

Please read the note that dork from "Idol" wrote to all those bothersome people who like him:

"Hey everyone,

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been coming out to the shows since my last post. The vibe at these shows has been amazing.

Secondly, I have to address some behavior that has become disturbing. We pride ourselves on being accessible to you as fans, but in contrast, we do enjoy what little privacy we can muster. To that end, the efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn. This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties, and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you.

I hope this doesn't come off as harsh. I merely want to nip this in the bud so we can continue to have a great experience with all of you at the shows we have coming up.

Take care and see you at the next show. ~D"

"This relationship?" WHAT relationship? What School of Rock did this a-hole attend? Clearly not the REAL one. Real rockstars are supposed to open their hotel room, bus and backstage doors and zippers for the groupies.

God, he's stupid.

It's Show and Tell time, ya'll! Felix is 8 months old now and James is 9 months old! YAY! They are both J U M B O.
