Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" Trailer - I don't know if I'm feelin' it.

Now don't leap all over me. I love Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. I just sorta feel like I've seen this before...or maybe I've seen too many trailers and photos in anticipation of Alice in Wonderland?

I'd like to see Johnny play someone different...and by that I mean NORMAL. Seems like he's always playing the eccentric nutcase with a heart of gold. (Hunter S. Thompson, Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands, the Peter Pan dude, for example.) Or maybe I'm just being crabby, because when do I ever rag on Johnny??


I want to see him in something like BLOW again...and we'll be able to soon enough when he starts with Angelina Jolie in The Tourist. I think my head--or undies--will explode over that poster alone.

Johnny Depp looking fab in Japan & "Dark Shadows" news!

That's what I'm talkin' about.

Johnny Depp arrived at the Narita International Airport in Japan early this morning to promote "Public Enemies".

I really can't think of anyone else (besides Hunter) who can pull off this kind of look. Johnny's devil-may-care rumpled chic always wins me over.

Oh!!  And it sounds like Johnny and Tim Burton are indeed working together for a film version of the 70's television show, Dark Shadows. I'm sure I'm the only one who remembers that show, right? Y'all are a buncha youngin's, but I'm tellin' ya, that was some scary shit on the ol' Tee and Vee set back in the day. Barnabus Collins?? Are you kidding me? I remember there was some horrible Secret Room where very bad things happened. No doubt, this film will be awwwwesome.

I seriously thought People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive was going to be the Sparkly Robert Pattinson--especially since Twighlight New Moon is being released this week. Seriously, I thought they'd jump on double-dipping on the sales of the magazines...but NO! It's my loverman, JOHNNY DEPP - again!

Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" film will no doubt, be much more true to Lewis Carroll's vision, as opposed to the Disney animated version (although I still LOVE that movie!).

You can count on Oscar nods for make-up, costuming and probably set design for this film. I can't WAIT to see Johnny let loose as the Mad Hatter. He's every nut's favorite character in "Alice", right?
