Here's Lady Gaga performing on Britain's X-Factor tonight. Hmmm. I don't even bother trying to figure out any meaning behind her outfits or sets anymore. What's the point, really?
She's still awesome.

Rumor Has It - Trent Reznor got MARRIED TONIGHT? Song of the Day - "I'm Afraid of Americans" Trent Reznor with David Bowie
Mariqueen and Trent Reznor
I don't know if this is true or not, and I don't normally post big, fat rumors...BUT. There are a lot of whispers about my former crush, Trent Reznor marrying his fiancee Mariqueen Maandig.
Don't know where...don't know what. I'll keep you posted.
Sigh. I've seen Nine Inch Nails three times--the last time was just months prior to having major spinal surgery. (One surgeon went in through my abdomen, taking out all of my guts, then the neurosurgeon hammered (!) a space for the artificial disc to fit. This is was L1 S5, if I recall--my tailbone, in other words. It was completely bone on bone. Then the neurosurgeon attached everything with a metal plate and four screws, and the general surgeon plopped all my innerds back in and stapled me up!)
So the during that final Nine Inch Nails concert, I was in 4" stilettos STILL, making damn sure I had NO cartiledge left. Good times.
Just for fun, here's I'm Afraid of Americans by Trent and my beloved David Bowie.
Trent? If it's true you are now married, congratulations. I think you've settled down a bit.
Haven't we all.

Serena Williams on ESPN's Body Issue Cover - WOW
Serena Williams!!
Ever since the media's outrage regarding Serena Williams' rage (toward a line judge after what she felt was a bad call), I've sort of like her better. I know that sounds bad--but every time I see John McEnroe parodying his constant on-court temper tantrums in the NationalCar Rental commercials, it bugs me. Here we have yet another man being rewarded for his questionable behavior, while a strong woman was collectively reamed a new one by the media.
I do love that Serena's on the cover of ESPN's Body Issue. She looks strong, feminine and HAPPY. It's also cool that the editors didn't force her to make some dumb sexy face.
Go Serena.

Happy Birthday, Joan Jett!! (Belated)
Joan Jett is 48, bitches
Oh Joan Jett. You are a hot piece of badass...
I swear, one day, Imma (thanks, Kanye for the new word) go to the casino and see Joan Jett and she will rock. My. World.
I saw Joan waaay back in 1982, and I think she's cooler and hotter than ever. Here comes the latent lesbian in me again...

Recommended Movie of the Weekend!

Oh man. This fantastic film was on Showtime (or was it HBO?) just the other night. Let me tell you something. The first time I saw it, back in 1994 (when it came out on video), I watched the part with Patricia Arquette and James Gandolfini--then had to rewind it to watch it AGAIN. One of the best scenes in cinema. (Maybe I have some "issues" that make me love it more than the average chick, but whatever. It's effing AWESOME.)
I want REVIEWS, people. I know a lot of people have seen this movie--but I still want your reviews. What's not to love? Tarantino's script, Brad Pitt's stoner with a honeybear bong and as I mentioned last week, Patricia Arquette's character, Alabama.
One of my Top Five films ever.
Now you have your assignment.
