Naughty Brit Russell Brand to Join Pirates

Cheeky Russell Brand
Might as well be British

You know how I love me some British boys! The London Sun reports:

"Russell Brand is set to star in 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4'.
The 33-year-old comedian - who recently resigned from his British radio show following controversy over lewd phone calls he made during a programme - will reportedly earn £5 million for portraying Jonathan, the brother of Johnny Depp's character Captain Jack Sparrow, in the latest instalment of the Disney franchise.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "There couldn't be a role more perfectly suited. There's a lot of Jack Sparrow in his mannerisms and behaviour. Johnny's accent isn't a million miles away from Russell's either."

Mmmmmm....now what were we talking about?

Come ON!

V O T E
This is obvious, guys. Just go vote.

He simply can't be bothered...

The Non-Voting Homosexual

It's come to my attention that a certain homosexual in Palm Springs, California, who shall remain nameless, IS NOT VOTING. Apparently he has many "valid reasons" for staying silent in this historic election. He provided a list to Dipped in Cream for his non-participation in the voting process and they are as follows:

1.) I don't have a stamp.

2.) I'd have to get out of bed, maybe take a shower, deal with the dog, look for my stupid car keys...

3.) I'm still going to be gay, no matter who wins or what initiative is passed.

4.) I would have to talk to someone I don't want to have a conversation with.

5.) Oh yeah, I'm not registered to vote because I don't want to be called to JURY DUTY.

God bless America, land of the free and home of the brave.

And also the home of one lazy homosexual in Palm Springs.

So, so sad...

Madelyn Dunham with grandson, Barack Obama

The Chicago Tribune reports:
The day before the presidential election, Sen. Barack Obama's grandmother, a woman he called "Toot" and someone who helped raised him, has died.Obama's campaign reported the death of Madelyn Dunham, 86, this afternoon as he and the media traveling with him landed here for the second of two campaign rallies he has scheduled today.Aides said the Democratic nominee learned of her death about 8 a.m. Eastern time and that she passed at her home in Honolulu between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Eastern time.Obama's grandmother, who had been gravely ill, was a rock of stability, giving him the American roots that would ground his teenage years as well as his career in politics.

It's such a shame she wasn't able to see the fruition of her grandson's (whom she called "Bear") efforts in this historical election.

Oh, Sienna.

I'm pretty sure this is Sienna Miller and not Kate Moss

According to Sienna Miller's publicist, she's back in London trying to put some space between Balthazar Getty and her skanky self. She's mad because Balthazar "won't commit". Funny how married men won't leave their wives for you, isn't it, Sienna? Just because Jude Law did (and look how beautifully THAT turned out), now Mr. Getty. Sienna honey, I know sneaking around feels normal to you, but it's not. Time for some hard-core therapy--and don't try to sleep with him, okay?

Chris Cornell and Timbaland Tonight

Very odd couple

So Hunter and I are seeing Chris Cornell (formerly of Seattle's own Soundgarden and supergroup Audioslave, ya'll) and Timbaland (uber-producer who has worked with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Fertado, Missy Elliot and others), tonight at the Showbox in Seattle. They are only doing eight smallish shows for this mini-tour, promoting Chris's new cd (due in January '09) called Scream. Not the best album title...makes me think of Michael and Janet Jackson's weird-ass video back in the day. Anyway, the reviews of these small shows have been less than stellar. I think a lot of people are having issues dealing with Chris straying from his Blackhole Sun days. Old school Soundgarden fans think Chris's working with a major hip-hop producer is complete sacrilege. God forbid anyone try something NEW. I've heard a couple tracks and personally think that Chris embraces this genre with intelligence and a great groove. I'm keeping an open mind about tonight's show, and will certainly fill you in afterward.

Now, can I just find something to wear that won't totally embarrass Hunter? Maybe the "mom jeans", clogs and a crisp polo shirt? Heh.

"Oh, Cap'n Butluh!"

Stephen came up with the wonderful idea of being Scarlett and Rhett for Halloween! We went to our dear friends, Cindy and Rich's for a fantastic party and here are a few pictures of us.
