Hugh Jackman Named Hottest Australian Hunk

Where are ya goin', Hugh?

What the GDH is UP with Hugh Jackman's ARMS?? I know this is supposed to be a post about Hugh being named the "hottest Aussie Dude" or whatever, but really? Who else is there?

I'm more concerned about the size of those biceps.

DAYNA! For not really being surprised!!

So it's TUESDAY at noon. I'm still tired from the big Men's Wearhouse party held at the Seattle Westin Hotel Ballroom...and I only had three gin and tonics. I'm SUCH a biddy. I think it must've been all the preparation that made me so tired. It takes a helluva lotta work to get that hair of mine all big and tossled, ya know. (Patrick kept calling me Penelope Cruz and speaking with a Colombian accent like she had in BLOW...HA!) And the make-up, the "undergarments" to suck in all the extra meat and high heels that I NEVER wear anymore just wore my fat ass OUT. Stephen, on the other hand, was just up and at 'em the next day. I cannot keep up with him.

I tell ya what. When a lot of companies (even the big ones) aren't even throwing holiday parties, The Men's Wearhouse continues to take care of their employees. Seriously, a huge dinner (prime rib, ham, pasta, gorgeous desserts--eggnog mousse, truffles, eclaires and more!) PLUS drinks, it's always THE. BEST. PARTY. After the awards were given out (which includes trips to Hawaii for outstanding employees) the dancing started. Sweaty times, y'all.

and his Assistant Manager (aka Assman) Tyler

I'm already looking forward to next year's party. I might be rested up by then.

Oh dear. The nun's didn't enjoy Lada Gaga's MTV VMA performance. Whaaaa?

Lady Gaga performing "Paparazzi"
at the VMAs last weekend

No. I simply cannot believe that Catholic nuns didn't quite care for Lady Gaga's performance piece (which is what it was, in every sense) on Sunday night's MTV VMAs. (Eyeroll.)

via whyfame.com:

"Finally somebody takes attitude against Lady Gaga’s behavior! Her own fans were freaked out by her bloody appearance at MTV Music Video Awards while singing her ‘Paparazzi’ hit. Note that Gaga’s fans are mostly teens, (I think most of her fans are the gays and they GOT it!!) so imagine what this new deadly-sexy singer teaches the little ones. Beside them, Gaga’s former teachers were shocked!

If you didn’t know, Lady Gaga (on her real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) was matriculated for several years, guess where…in New York, at the Convent of the Sacred Heart girls school, New York Post reports. So she was preparing to be a nun!!!

“When someone showed the nuns a video of her bloody performance at the VMA Awards, the good sisters were not amused”, the report added."

Ummm...whose bright idea was it to show this to the nuns in the first place? What they don't know about their former student won't hurt them, I always say. (Actually, I don't always say that.)

My point is: It was a METAPHOR, people!! Well, kind of a literal metaphor, if you will. Stars have a love/hate relationship with the paparazzi and Lady Gaga's performance, I felt, was brilliant. It was kind of, "yeah, chase me, wound me, leave me alone, chase me, oh dear, you killed me" sort of statement. You can't tell me Lindsay Lohan doesn't love every. Goddamned. Second. of her time with the paps--we all know she even tips them off as to her whereabouts. It's almost as though she's got a deep-seated deathwish so that she will become iconic like her tragic idol Marilyn or Michael Jackson. (I got my Psych Degree from Sears, fyi.)

Then we do have the Princess Diana side of things, don't we? She, too, manipulated the European press and paps, but they (and a drunk chauffer) killed her in the end.

The performance certainly required discussion between kids or teens and their parents--but the nuns most definitely didn't need to watch it, forPITYsake.

The Rossdale Family at the beach....

Gwen, Gavin, some kid, Zuma and Crybaby Kingston
Gavin? Is that really your six-pack?

Yeah, I know. Them again. Sorry, they were parading around Malibu beach looking like the perfect little fam, so I had to show y'all.

I always knew Gavin Rossdale was purrrdy, I just had no idea about them pecs, them pecs. Wow.

And I'd kill for Gwen's legs. I said I'd KILL, not "I'd exercise" to get Gwen's legs. I'm not stupid.

Song of the Day - TOTALLY Random

Oh, Donna Summer. Oh, Barry Manilow. Oh, Donna Summer singing the Barry Manilow song, "Could it be Magic". Oh, it is magic, bitches. I dare you to listen to this and not wish that you had this on a loop in your head.

Won't someone please re-work this gem and put it into the gay-tastic clubs down the street??

Patrick, this one's for you.

Today's Blind Item - Botox Edition!

"Which ageing singer has become so obsessed with Botox and fillers, his friends have started calling him 'Frank', after Frankenstein's Monster..."

via Daily Mirror

Wow. Who doesn't get the Botox? And seeing that it's from the Daily Mirror, it makes me think this bloke is from the UK, and it could be anyone. Let's see, there's Robbie Williams, Paul McCartney, Elton John, George Michael, Roger Daltry, Tom Jones (?)...and as for Americans, have ya'll seen Rick Springfield lately? Daaayum. (I know, that was a random reference.) Of course, he's on the casino circuit, so is he still actually someone who'd be a Blind Item? (That wasn't very nice. Sorry.) Honestly. It could be anyone.

And...not that there's anything WRONG with Botox (ahem)...unless you're over-doing it like Kidman. Yeeeesh.

This S*#t is CRAZY! Egyptian Bust Looks EXACTLY Like Michael Jackson...

Michael? Is that YOU?

Remember the Time Pictures, Images and Photos
MJ in his Egyptian-themed
"Remember the Time" video garb.

...to the tip of its NOSE! Holy crap, ya'll. Of course, it's simply called,
'limestone statue of a woman', which measures 25 cm high by 35 cm wide. Wow.

via The Telegraph UK:

"It is on display at the Inside Ancient Egypt exhibition at The Field Museum in the United States.

The bust was bought in Cairo in 1889 and has been on display at the museum for 21 years.

But its popularity has soared since Michael Jackson's death after fans started writing about the ancient statue on internet blogs.

The bust was carved during the New Kingdom Period, which ran between 1550 BC to 1050 BC.

This was around the same time as famous Egyptians Ramesses and King Tut."

What a weird coincidence. Are their Elvis and Tupac busts, too? Because here we GO, ya'll. Hope on board to Crazytown.

I Love Joan Jett...(but I'm worried about the new Runaways movie!)

The Runaways

I'm about to show my age again. A film about the Los Angeles-based badass jailbait band, The Runaways is being made as we speak. Sourpuss Kristen Stewart from that sparkly vampire movie is playing Joan Jett. It's being said that Joan hand-picked KStew for the role. I'm gonna give Joan the benefit of the doubt on that one.

The actress playing the blonde cherry bomb, Cherie Curry is pissing me off, though. Dakota Fanning? Seriously? I'm sure she sees it as an opportunity to shed her goody-goody image, but I'll believe it when I see her moving and singing like Cherie with her Bowie-esque persona. Now, I don't watch "Gossip Girl", but I do know who Taylor Momsen is--she's a 16-year old, big-eyed, actress and rocker chick (she even has a band, The Pretty Reckless). Was Taylor even considered for the role of Cherie Curry forpitysake??

This little chick, Taylor Momsen, should play Cherie Curry...

NOT Dakota Fanning!

I'm actually kind of excited about this movie. I was in high school in southern California when The Runaways were at their height. I was never allowed to do anything like go to L.A. to clubs. I would've been terrified, for one thing. (I was a late bloomer, okay?) I did, however pour over their club dates in the L.A. Times and glean any bit of information I could about these chicks. I mean, they were my age doing this shit, back in the late 70's, people.

Do yourself a favor and Google The Runaways, and hope for the best for this movie.

I'm so sorry for the lack of blogs today!!

James Beckham NOW, at 1 year old.
James, at 12 weeks, the day
after he came home to us.

Felix, at 11 months!

Felix's first fortune cookie fortune!

The cutest toes in the world.
Here's my deal today. I had a rough night last night--stressiness with two men who are very dear to me (that's all I'm gonna say about that issue) caused me to get a case of sciatica today. It happens every time I get upset, so it wasn't a huge surprise, but since I am a bit more healthy and do yoga, I thought it wouldn't happen again--WRONG.

AnyNUTTY, I helped Dayna get a mental blueprint of how to decorate the house she and Alex are moving into. It's a town over from ours (where they were living), but in all honesty, she doesn't need her mother-in-law all up in her grill--and that would be ME. I think they will have a much more successful family life in this darling house they are in now, in a super-cute neighborhood. You can Google it, if you want: Manette, Washington. They have a waterfront view and it's just perfect. I don't know if lifting a huge TV onto the entertainment center helped the pinched sciatic nerve situation much, though. We did plenty of moving and arranging , but most importantly bonding again. I'm happy about it, and I think Dayna is, too.

I put a call into my yoga instructor to see if I should go to class tonight or not. I know I need to ice the area, but moving around is a good thing, too. If any of you have suggestions, please offer them to me!

So, it's our precious boxer, James's 1st birthday today. And I had some cute pictures I just took of Meatpie, Felix to share--so here ya go.

Please forgive me about the lack of blogs--I have some good ones in the works, I promise!!
xoxo ~j

Bruce and Emma in W Magazine. Brad, Angelina and David and Victoria Did it Better.

Yawwwwn.
Contrived.
Big whoop.

If there is such a notion as "boringly gross", Bruce Willis and his new child bride, Emma have defined it with their photo spread in July's W Magazine.

I'm sure you all recall David and Victoria Beckham doing their own "romantic" layout in the same magazine a couple of years ago, with the iconic British couple in a sweaty, seedy motel in the desert, taking them completely out of their "posh" element.

The God and Goddess of FIERCE Pictures, Images and Photos

Then Brad and Angelina did their own photographic layout for W soon after releasing "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". Both of these photo essays told a story, particularly Brad and Angie's. Their story was of a seemingly "perfect" couple's life, complete with triplet boys--but the fictional relationship was any but perfect or normal. It was beautifully photographed with a dark, emotional tension.

This photo says so much more than
a rubber suit and a stainless steel table ever could.

Bruce and Emma's spread in W is a mainstream cliche`...rubber suit? Check. Scary clown? Check. Dominating woman in mask forcing "sex" on helpless old dude? Check.

Good God, people. Come up with something original. Bruce is feeling his age, but is fighting it with a VERY young wife and forcing pictures like these on the public.

Steven Klein photographed all three of these couples for W Magazine. I've seen his work in European magazines and it tends to be quite sexually extreme, but never dull. I'm just disappointed in the Bruce and Emma shoot. It feels like Bruce probably had a bigger hand in the photos than Steven. For a really great article about Steven Klein in the New York Times archives, click here:

Wow. I am completely lacking a sense of humor in this post. See what those photos have done? Blaaaaah.

Feeling Better and Looking a Little Better

Lame webcam picture,
but it shows I'm alive!
"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..."

I'm feeling better and I'm gonna get out of the house today. Stephen are I are gonna look for a new BED, ya'll. It's all about the Sleep Number bed. We can't agree on what kind of bed, so this seems the logical option. Stephen like a firm mattress, and I prefer a soft, cushy one that hugs me. (There's a shocker.) So that's our plan.

The photoshoot with my cute, hilarious nephew Jake went well yesterday. Here's a link if you wanna see! http://www.photoworks.com/albums/pictures.jsp;jsessionid=2D5D4455C91A9A206DDA4278ACE3667E?id=57332920&cb=PW&toh=&svr=pw-web6

I've got some funny stuff about the Miss Adam and Bitch Gayken that I'll write about later. Oh, "it's already been broughten!" GIRL FIGHT, ya'll!! LOVES it!

Leave me some love!! xoxo ~j

Katy Perry looks like that chick in the George Michael video, huh?

Katy Perry in Complex Magazine
Katy Perry again.
Remember this chick?
George Michael's "Father Figure" video

The model in the video, Tania Coleridge
Katy's inspiration?

This is some random shit up in here, huh? I was just prowling around the internets, as I'm wont to do and stumbled across Katy Perry's latest magazine shoot. Remember George Michael's "Father Figure" video?

What do ya'll think? Inspiration?
