I Just Realized...

it's been over a year since I cried. That's not normal.

I didn't cry one year ago when my first son, Alex got married. I didn't cry when my first granchild, Felix was born. I didn't cry when I heard Patrick has AIDS. I didn't cry when my youngest son, Hunter went to detox and rehab for heroin abuse.

I don't feel anything, really. I don't understand.

Crying is just one of many expressions of emotion. "Not feeling" is an expression of emotion, if you think about it a certain way. I hope things look up for you soon : )

Julia; I cry enough for all of us...TV shows, commercials, the singing of the Star Spangled Banner...You name it; I'll cry. Not everyone is like me though, and I know you 'feel', just don't express it the same way. Hugz!

Put on 5lbs in a month and i can guarantee you'll sob like a baby! No really though. I think this last year has been a system overload for you. To the extent that crying wouldn't have been strong enough anyway.

Annette: I'm embarrassed to post how much weight I've gained this year. That's beyond tears, too. I think after a lifetime of crying, I have no tears left.
