You mean the whole Balloon Boy (aka Puke Boy) thing was a HOAX? GASP!

I bought it--hook, line and sinker, AND SO DID YOU. Don't even lie, y'all. But the very second that Falcon told Wolf Blitzer, "...you guys said we did this for this show", the jig was UP. I could hear a collective, "Awww, HELL NAAAW!" throughout the universe. In fact, Wolf led the choir.

"The "Aha!" moment (thank you, Oprah!) that led authorities to realize what had happened was an interview with the family Thursday night on CNN's "Larry King Live," Sheriff Jim Alderden of Larimer County said Sunday. In the interview with Wolf Blitzer, filling in for King, the Heenes asked their son why he had not come out from hiding when they called his name.

"You guys said we did this for the show," the boy responded.

On Sunday, Alderden called the incident a "hoax," adding that investigators believe the evidence indicates that "it was a publicity stunt" by the family in hopes of "better marketing themselves for a reality television show at some point in the future."

They are gonna put a bitch in jaaaaaail. Those parents are nutty!!

How long before we see t-shirts that say, "WE DID THIS FOR THE SHOW!"?

Julia, this is INSANE!I mean how desperate do you have to be?? The kid was up in the attic in a box on the rafters, wow...how safe is that...I mean how far will this family go?

But, do you think a 6 year old could sit still and not make a sound or peep for what, 5 hours? Wow....

Jessica...AGREED. Did you see how incredibly HYPER that kid is? I'm thinkin' they gave him a half bottle of Dimetap on the rocks. For reals, man. They said he "fell asleep" up there. Oh, come ON.

I still love that Anderson Cooper laughed about the whole puking thing.

I've known since before it happened that Balloon Boy was a hoax. So convinced was I, in fact, that I didn't even bother to read the story.

Wow, this story is out of control. These people are a bunch of fruit loops, the more articles I read, the more disgusted I get!!! So this was all a big hoax, it was all planned, a company actually knew what was going on, but says they didnt know kids were involved... UHM wasnt that the whole point of the story, the kid taking off in this balloon? Did you read where they believe that the world is going to end in 2012, cause the sun is going to explode??? Said he needed money to build a bunker to protect them? Wow this family needs to have some mental evaluations done.....

Jess, it's an ancient Mayan belief. You can read about it here:

I saw Balloon Dad today on CNN singing some dumbass theme song to a scientist-type show he was pitching.

Ugh.
