For pity sake. I'm running behind on the blogging today, which I realize is SUPER unprofessional, especially on a Monday morning. As I've mentioned before, I don't have staff or substitute bloggers the way so many others have when "real life" pops up.
My 9 year old whippet Angelina, had a toe amputated late yesterday. We're unclear about how she hurt the toe, but the fact is, it couldn't be saved. James, our boxer flipped the eff OUT about Angelina's "lampshade" thingy that she has to wear so she doesn't chew her bandages off. He was barking--no, YELLING into the lampshade like it was a megaphone and it was sooo not cool. I kept getting the side-eye from Angelina as if to say, "get this loud dork away from my ass!", so I ran James off to daycare.
I understand Perez Hilton got punched in the face for his nasty remarks about Fergie and Will.I.Am last night after the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto. According to TMZ.com
"...[video] footage begins in the middle of the verbal altercation outside an after-party for a music award show in Toronto -- moments after Hilton claims Will went after him like a "heat-seeking missile" and unleashed a verbal tirade at him.
With a crowd surrounding Perez, Will and Will's manager, Polo -- the guys argue back and forth for about a minute, until Perez tells Will, "you're not a f**king artist ... you're a f**king f*ggot."
The scene suddenly turns chaotic -- and in the mess someone punches Perez in the face."
It's a slippery slope when it comes to determining who's right and who's wrong in a situation like this. Having said that, Perez sounds like a whiney-ass 8th grade girl. It's hilarious, but disturbing at the same time. He certainly has some hateful--and I mean HATEFUL--things to say on his little homemade video all the while defending himself. I'm not going to post his ridiculous 12 minute rant, ya'll can go find it if you want, because as he says over and over, he "doesn't need the press". Oh really? Is that why you TWITTERED (Tweeted?) for help after getting smacked, rather than calling the cops? That's just crazy, self-absorbtion.
I admit that I make fun of celebrities a LOT--isn't that what celebrity bloggers DO? I do think there's a fine line, though. Now, I'm not a fan of the tween-Disney stars, and I rarely discuss them here, but I don't enjoy the way Perez calls Miley Cyrus a "slut" on one hand then completely sucks up to her later, only to be a total bitch to her again. I despise the nasty drawings he makes on the celebrity photos. (He does this, too, so other bloggers won't steal "his" photos from the website, no doubt, but they are still gross.)
I've heard all kinds of rumors that celebrities actually pay Mario (Perez's real name) to either say nice things about them or to not say bitchy things about them. I have no idea if that's true. I am surprised by the fact that Perez thinks he's really all that powerful, and secondly that the celebrities think he's powerful. Most celebrity bloggers write bitchy posts, but don't go for the jugular the way he does. My favorite blogs are the ones that are especially funny, like "D-Listed" with Michael K. He says some hilarious shit, that no one should take seriously. My suggestion? Don't read PerezHilton.com .

I completely lost interest in what you had to say about Perez after the James/Angelina bit - HILARIOUS!! That's me laughing at 8am before even a cup of tea - in fact i'm stll chortling now. James has way too much imagination like all boxers!
Get well soon Angelina and then give him beats!
You're better off not reading about that dumbass crybaby. He can totally dish it out, but can't take the bitchslap when he's gone too far.
James and Sistergirl are a bit calmer today. She has a little plastic boot (that's actually a tiny IV bag!) on her foot, so no lampshade so far. They exhaust me.
Well, I don't read his stuff anyway, so there. There's only one blog of celebrity nature I read: Dipped in Cream. Shameless plug on your own site, but it's oh so quotable.
Personally, I think he's laughing all the way to the bank, so to speak. He knows what controversy he's making and knows that there'll be some heat, buckle down, and when the smoke clears, he'll be more popular than ever.
I'm not a fan of the Disney tween stars myself, but they also help me keep a job so that's important enough for me. I've also had the opportunity to personally help one, the big one, so I guess that's something else.
Stuart--THANK YOU, Sweetheart!!
I'll say it again, Perez/Mario is a dumbass.
Was it Miley you assisted? Do tell!!

You're welcome.
Indeed it was. Miley and Billy Ray and their entourage. It was a while back during my first college program in 2006. I was working Haunted Mansion at the time and I was in the VIP/Wheelchair position when they came by for the back hallway that leads straight into the foyer. Leading them through the hallway, I didn't know them from Adam. Now, it was before Hannah Montana was popular and, well, I'm not their demo. So didn't have a clue. I did my normal banter, because we are specifically trained that "every guest is a VIP", and she very slightly hinted to the "do you know who we are?" thing. With me being clueless, my reply was, in my odd accent, "Eh, all the living looks similar to me" and went into the foyer to help get them in, while hearing the rest of the entourage give a chuckle to my reaction. The VIP Tour Guide praised the reply, thinking I was just playing with them. I then revealed to them that I really didn't know who they were and got the info. It didn't really phase me. The other cool celebrity citing I had over there was the NPH, who apparently is a huge Mansion fan. I had him in my Stretch Room.
I used to want to LIVE in the Haunted Mansion. It's still my favorite style of architecture--Greek Revival. Dying of a vacation in New Orleans. There goes my vegetarianism during THAT trip.
Any other cool stories about Disney World?? (I've only been to D'LAND.)
Well, Disney World's mansion is a little different. It's style of architecture is Hudson River Gothic. All brick and intimidating. And I've got tons of stories, but I gotta hold my cards when I can...;-P
I only know Eurodisney and i LOVE it - So don't knock it! (It's still better than nothing)
